Together they have built one of the most respected apartment management businesses in the Tennessee-Alabama area. Mr. Carter has overseen the growth of Parthenon Properties, Inc.’s fee management business. He is also directly responsible for the company’s property supervisors. Over his 25 year career he has become an expert in ancillary income products, expense reduction, resident retention, closing techniques and water conservation. Mr. Carter was a pioneer in “Green” before it was popular by implementing conservation efforts such as recycling, installing energy efficient lighting, replacing conventional plumbing with low flow devices, sub metering utilities, the placement of trees and shrubbery and upgrading to energy efficient appliances. The results of these efforts have saved the properties he managed many thousands of dollars while at the same time making the planet better for future generations. During his career (which is only halfway through) he has received all of the certifications the industry recognizes such as the Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) designations. He has also taught various courses at the Parthenon Institute of Property Management (PIPT). Mr. Carter enthusiastically embraces the challenges that confront the industry as it moves forward in this turbulent economy. His motto is “Stay ahead of the curve by being proactive”. |
